Last Friday, April 2nd, our co-founder Jordana Guimarães hosted an amazing and inspiring conversation on Clubhouse with the incredible Rebecca Minkoff. But in case you’ve missed it or you’re not on Clubhouse yet, don’t worry! We’re going to share the highlights from this talk with you.
For more than an hour of conversation, Rebecca shared her experiences, her mistakes, and successes. Some people in the audience including Shawn Hazan, one of Fashinnovation’s advisors, Shagun Sharma, from Naytra Couture, and many other entrepreneurs and designers jumped in the conversation asking questions and adding value to everyone that had the honor to listen in.
Rebecca didn’t hesitate to say that: “success is the ability to keep going”. She emphasized that at the beginning of building the brand things were difficult, she didn’t always have the recognition or the sales that she wanted, but, according to her, the secret is: not to give up.
“No matter what, you’re on your own journey”, “Just do your thing in the way that you believe in”, “Always choose partners that align with your brand pillars” and “It’s important to show the human behind the brand, but also to choose carefully what you’re going to show” were just a few of the golden nuggets Rebecca left us with throughout the conversation.

Rebecca Minkoff is the Founder and Designer of Rebecca Minkoff, one of the pioneer brands in accessible luxury handbags, accessories, footwear, and apparel. She’s been in the market for over 20 years. And, she’s not only this inspiring entrepreneur but also a mother of three.
